# The Race of Life: Repentance, Gratitude, and Devotion Before the Final Day

The world turns away from those who cling to it, announcing its departure with every passing moment. Meanwhile, the Hereafter draws ever closer, its arrival certain and inevitable. Today is the race, and tomorrow is the finish line — with Paradise as the ultimate prize and Hellfire as the place of ruin. Who among us will seize this fleeting opportunity to repent before the day of our departure? Who will strive for their own soul before the day of desperate need?

Let us be among those whom Allah counts as His God-fearing servants, those who live in hope of His reward. When Allah honours us with days of celebration, let us respond with sincere remembrance, heartfelt supplication, and acts of worship. The paying of Zakat al-Fitrah, a blessed tradition of the Prophet (PBUH & His Family) and an obligation from our Lord, purifies our fasting and extends our care to every member of our household. Through such devotion, we prepare our souls for the journey that awaits us all.

> يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَلۡتَنظُرۡ نَفۡسٞ مَّا قَدَّمَتۡ لِغَدٖۖ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ خَبِيرُۢ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ

> O you who have believed, fear Allah. And let every soul look to what it has put forth for tomorrow - and fear Allah. Indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what you do
