The Grandeur of the Creator and Our Duty of Obedience

Allah has sent His messengers, prophets, and divine Books to clearly distinguish the right path from the wrong, guiding us towards Heaven or Hell. He fulfils all our needs in this world and the Hereafter, yet He has no need of our adoration.

As the Quran states, "Certainly We gave Moses and Aaron the Criterion, a light and reminder for the Godwary" (21:48). Observance or transgression of His commands makes no difference to Him; rather, He enjoins good and forbids indecencies solely for our own benefit.

Considering these countless favours, whose reckoning exceeds human capacity, we must recognise that respecting and obeying such a Benefactor is essential. Does our reason approve of violating His commands?

We naturally respect those who are older, wealthy, powerful, or hold positions of authority like kings. However, can the greatness of any human ruler match the grandeur of the King of Kings?
