This session's argument is about method: the prophets never built support the way a politician does, testing which promises land best and softening the rest. From the very first day of every prophetic mission, the evening argues, the entire message was a single declaration — "there is no god except God" — offered identically to the powerful and the powerless, with nothing held back for later. The evening insists that the illiterate desert Arabs who first heard this sentence understood immediately that it was not only a statement about God, but a direct threat to every existing structure of power and wealth around them — which is why opposition to it formed instantly and openly, rather than gradually. Among the first to accept it were Yasir and Sumayyah, the parents of the companion Ammar ibn Yasir, remembered as the first martyrs of Islam — endurance the evening credits to real insight (basirah) into what they had joined, not blind loyalty. Why does actually knowing your own cause determine whether you can bear to suffer for it? What the evening covers One sentence, unsoftened.
