This session turns from why clarification matters to what it costs the person who attempts it. Three conditions must be present before any movement for truth can hold together: a shared understanding of the terrain it stands on; a defined destination, not just opposition to falsehood; and a hope anchored not in optimism but in a repeated Qur'anic promise — "if you help God, He will help you" — treated as a fixed law of history rather than a comforting sentiment. But the session's sharpest turn is ethical. Piety, it insists, is what keeps clarification from curdling into cruelty. When some of his own soldiers resorted to abusive language against those they fought, Imam Ali, peace be upon him, corrected them: "I detest for you that you should be abusers of others." Sayyedah Fatimah al-Zahra, peace be upon her, delivered two of the most searing protests in Islamic history — one before a crowd of men in a mosque — without a single word of insult in either. The standard here is not the exception: refute the idea, never disgrace the person. What happens to a movement for truth once it starts fighting people instead of ideas? Protest without a single word of insult, as the prophetic standard for how truth is spoken. ## Scripture > وَلَا تَجْعَلْنِي لِلظَّالِمِينَ ظَهِيراً، وَلَا لَهُمْ عَلَى مَحْوِ كِتَابِكَ يَداً وَنَصِيراً، وَحُطْنِي مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا أَعْلَمُ حِيَاطَةً تَقِينِي بِهَا، وَافْتَحْ لِي أَبْوَابَ تَوْبَتِكَ وَرَحْمَتِكَ وَرَأْفَتِكَ وَرِزْقِكَ الْوَاسِعِ، إِنِّي إِلَيْكَ مِنَ الرَّاغِبِينَ، وَأَتْمِمْ لِي إِنْعَامَكَ، إِنَّكَ خَيْرُ الْمُنْعِمِينَ > > Make me not an aid to the wrongdoers, nor their hand and helper in erasing Your Book! Defend me whence I know not with a defense through which You protect me! Open toward me the gates of Your repentance, Your mercy, Your clemency, and Your boundless provision!
