This profound dynamic is starkly illustrated in the heart-breaking Maqtal segment, "Cherry Blossoms at Dawn," which recounts the final hours of the beautiful young men of Karbala: Qasim ibn Hasan, Ali al-Akbar, and the brothers Aun and Muhammad (peace be upon them all). 

The gathering features the mournful congregational elegy (Nohe) "I Am Ashamed" and our poetic English recitation of Ziyarat Ashura.
